GRS Recruitment are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Limassol. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily accounting operations, and supporting tax, payroll, and compliance activities. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintaining and updating accounting records using accounting software.

Managing daily accounting transactions.

Performing bank reconciliations and reconciling accounts with debtors and creditors.

Preparing payroll and ensuring timely payments to social insurance and tax authorities.

Issuing invoices to clients and counterparties.

Assisting with tax, VAT, and VIES registration, submissions, and related compliance tasks.

Liaising with creditors, debtors, auditors, and external advisors.

Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Monitoring cash flow and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes.

Maintaining proper documentation for intercompany transactions.

Ensuring compliance with international and local accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).

Supporting internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

Maintaining strict financial confidentiality, especially in client-facing environments.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar position.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

Strong understanding of Tax, VAT, and regulatory compliance (prior experience is a plus).

Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential. Proficiency in Russian or Greek, in addition to English, will be considered a strong advantage.

Experience in a multi-company or client-service environment is preferred.

Familiarity with financial services, real estate accounting, or corporate administration is a plus.

Working knowledge of IFRS and/or local accounting standards.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
