A Cyprus based holding company with diverse commercial activities, are working with GRS to recruit an Accountant for their Limassol Office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, and fluency in both Greek & English. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accurate and timely recording and data of all incoming and outgoing accounting transactions.
  • Reconciliation statements of banks, subsidiaries/affiliate companies (SAC).
  • Journal Vouchers in the area of competence for approval from Chief Accountant, data entry.
  • Fixed Assets Register is up to date.
  • Ensures the books and records are in accordance with the IFRS.
  • Preparation of cheques, receipts, payment vouchers and debit/credit notes. Report ageing analysis.
  • Screening, interpretation, and preparation of comparative analysis of SAC periodical financial statements/budget.
  • Assist in liaising with the auditors.
  • Prepare VAT Returns and revision of Corporate Tax Returns for correctness.
  • Assist in the preparation of IR7 and IR63 forms.
  • Review of the monthly statements to SAC/clients and Responsible.
  • Prepare weekly Bank Balances.
  • Supervise, Review and Ensure the proper treatment by the Cashiers of Petty Cash in line with the Accounting Procedure manual.
  • Assist in Liaising with banks for all matters relating to the Group of Companies bank accounts.
  • Ensures the issuance of timely and accurate Invoices/Debit and or Credit Notes.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Education:  Accounting Certificate or LCCI Higher
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounts department
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Competent user of MS Excel, MS Word,
  • Knowledge of SAP “All in One” accounting software - will be considered as an advantage
