A market leader in global financial services and next-generation multi-channel trading software systems, are working with GRS to recruit an Accountant to join their rapidly expanding Nicosia operation. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role with a high fluency in English. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly involved with the day-to-day reconciliations on bank, vendors and revenue movement and overall general ledgers.

Bookkeeping and maintenance of the business’ financial transaction in the accounting software.

Update and maintain the general ledgers.

Daily Monitoring and reconcile of client’s funds and process of the relevant transfers.

Support the Team Leader and/or Financial Controller.

Preparing Daily/Mid-month and monthly accounting reports (prepayments, accruals, bank reconciliations, Trial balances, P&L reconciliations, etc.).
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.

Studying towards ACCA (or equivalent) will be considered as an advantage.

3+ years of experience in an accountant role, previous experience in a Finance Department.

Strong attention to detail.
-
Up to date IFRS knowledge.

Ability to perform data input activities quickly and accurately.

Data entry skills.
-
Ability to work both autonomously but also as part of a team.

Very good analytical skills and ability to reconcile discrepancies.

Familiarity with the SAP SBO accounting software will be considered as an advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Fluency in English with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
