A well-established international specialist in eLearning and human capital management software for safety-critical industries are working with GRS to recruit an Accountant for their Limassol based operation. The successful candidate will have strong accounting & financial analysis skills, with a high fluency in English. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Involved in accounting and month-end close process, financial reporting, profitability / cost analysis of certain business units, internal control, collaborating with external auditors on year-end audits and other interesting ad hoc projects for the CFO. 
  • As part of the Finance team, assist with month-end close process.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with any ad-hoc accounting issues that might arise.
  • Assist in the annual audit process with external auditors, including financial statements and audit schedules.
  • Prepares, review, challenge and acts on the account reconciliations performed, with the goal to constantly seek for accuracy of data.
  • Update internal control questionnaires and risk matrix. Ensure an action plan is set up to mitigate the major internal control issues identified. Follow-up on the plan.
  • Assist with updating internal accounting procedures.
  • Analyze variances versus prior year and budget; provide recommendation to Management when cost inefficiencies are identified.
  • Create tools with the goal to better explain performance to management.
  • Actively participate in Ad Hoc projects for the team and company.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent - Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong accounting & financial analysis skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise assignments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills within all levels of the organisation.
  • Deadline-oriented.
  • Ability to conceptualise and assimilate data.
  • Commitment to uncompromising accuracy in data management.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other commonly used office packages.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and manage own workload.
  • Good team-working skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads.
  • Good telephone manner.
