On behalf of our client, a well-established Marketing company with global offices, GRS Recruitment are looking for an accountant to join their Limassol based team working on a hybrid work model. The successful candidate must have previously worked in a similar role. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Recording transactions in the accounting software for several entities
  • Ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
  • Monthly review of all intercompany transactions
  • Accounting for prepayments and accruals
  • Conduct monthly creditors/debtors (OPEX), bank accounts, and other reconciliations
  • Handle tax matters and preparation of VAT & VIES returns in an accurate and timely manner
  • Assist in the production of financial statements
  • Preparation and checking of payments (when required)
  • Liaising with the authorities and third parties as and when required
  • Filing and other administrative duties
  • Assist with the specific projects which may rise
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Degree in Accounting and Finance or any other relevant field
  • At least 3+ years’ experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of Cyprus Taxation, VAT and VIES
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards
  • Able to work as a member of a team and support colleagues
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal (Greek and Russian will be considered as an advantage)
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of Oracle will be considered an advantage
  • Dynamic, result-oriented, operating with speed and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and flexibility of approach
  • Highly ethical, trustworthy, reliable, discreet, and dynamic, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Holder of EU citizenship
