GRS Recruitment are working with a global brand with operations in Beijing, Beirut, Dubai, Dublin, Hong Kong and London to name but a few locations. Our client is looking to recruit an Accountant to join their new team in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and skilful Accountant who will ensure the integrity of all the accounting for the Cyprus entity, this role will involve verifying, consolidating, entering transactions, file necessary declarations in a timely manner and in accordance with group policies and local regulations. You will be responsible for all aspects of accounting from accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, monthly account reconciliations and other functions as needed. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries
  • Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies
  • Receive and prepare payments in accordance with the Group Order to Cash and Purchase to Payment processes
  • Monitor the company’s cash flow and prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and maintain accounting data needed for corporate reporting
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Educated to degree in accounting or the equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in Greek, English and reporting skills
  • Previous work experience in accounting or other relevant roles
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting and cost control principles and practices
  • Knowledge of financial planning and analysis is a plus
  • Knowledge of local laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation
  • Computer literate including proficiency in the use of MS Office
  • Thorough knowledge of labour laws and country procedures
  • Excellent at problem solving and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently well as part of a team and in learning and adapting
