GRS Recruitment are excited to present an exciting opportunity for an Accountant within a trading company based in Nicosia. The ideal candidate will provide financial support and analysis for the Legal Entity by effectively managing daily financial operations, cost monitoring and analysis, and controlling operating expense budgets. Deliver accurate and timely financial insights, ensure compliance, enhance efficiency, and support management in informed decision-making and sustainable value creation. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and issue debit notes; ensure timely booking with full supporting documents and compliance; follow up on payments.
  • Reconcile supplier budgets/debits; align A&P allocations; close special/open accounts (e.g., payroll, personal expenses); claim back debit notes.
  • Control sales and gross margins versus agreed price structures; address discrepancies.
  • Process non‑trade supplier payments (vouchers/invoices) per policy.
  • Control agreements (e.g., end‑of‑year bonus); ensure debit/credit notes comply and are processed on time; coordinate with Accounts Receivable.
  • Control monthly operating expenses (cards, travel, transport sheets, leasing); route for processing after policy checks and approvals.
  • Prepare the annual budget; update as needed; manage recoverable issues (supplier compensation/insurance) and track irrecoverable with Inventory Control.
  • Prepare sales and financial reports for LE stakeholders, Group Executive Director.
  • Support projections, studies, and simulations (projects/new brand acquisitions); track project costs versus budget; analyze cost variances and recommend actions.
  • Handle acquisition, transfer, sale, and disposal; ensure forms are complete and signed; coordinate asset sales.
  • Follow up on working capital, financial KPIs, stock/AR aging; resolve P&L discrepancies; perform horizontal and vertical P&L analysis.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s in accounting & finance (Master’s a plus); at least 3 years in a similar role.
  • Excellent English and Greek.
  • Customer Focus, Effective Communication, Adaptability/Flexibility, Teamwork, Problem Solving, Results Orientation.
  • Analytical & Critical Thinking, Attention to Detail; MS Office.
