On behalf of our client, a leading international organisation, GRS Recruitment is seeking a dynamic, technically strong, and qualified Accountant to join their professional team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across established business areas and new development projects, supporting the implementation and supervision of additional Business and MIS systems within the Finance function. Occasional travel to client offices or other locations may be required. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the CEO and finance leadership with strategic financial management and MIS system development.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform bank and other reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, along with annual financial statements.
- Work closely with senior management, finance executives, and management teams to deliver objectives and timetables for corporate accounting, financial reporting, tax, and compliance functions.
- Manage financial planning and control, including budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
- Liaise with external auditors, internal audit, and risk management teams to conduct reviews and prepare reports.
- Oversee cost control and efficiency initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of new relationships and business opportunities.
- Identify and implement improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and timeliness through automation, process optimisation, and the introduction of additional Business and MIS systems.
- Support due diligence processes and liaise with advisors and counterparties.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as required.
- Coordinate and support the finance team alongside management.
- Mentor junior finance staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- ACA qualification with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
- MBA or equivalent will be considered an advantage.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and practical experience with financial systems, databases, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Business and MIS system implementation and oversight is highly desirable.
- Dynamic, results-oriented, and highly organised with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, ethical, trustworthy, and discreet, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience mentoring or leading finance teams is an advantage.
