GRS Recruitment is excited to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Permanent Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our client, a reputable Corporate Services company located in Nicosia. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a passion for finance. The successful candidate will be allocated a number of clients to handle and be responsible for their accounting matters to be up to date. There will also be liaising and coordination with the companies auditors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly financial statements.

Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasting financial performance.

Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.

Prepare VAT and VIES returns and ensure timely submissions.

Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and assistance.

Participate in various accounting projects as required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
At least 5 years’ experience on similar position.

A broad knowledge and experience in the recording of company transactions in accordance with the current accounting standards.

Good knowledge of the VAT & VIES regulation.

Knowledge of the Anti-Money Laundering regulations (due diligence & KYC procedures).

Experience with the Sage accounting software will be an advantage.

Fluent in Greek and English (written and oral).

Computer literate / MS Office .
