GRS Recruitment is partnering with a reputable Trust and Fiduciary company based in Malta to find a dedicated Accounting & Tax Services Senior Executive. The successful candidate will be responsible to carry out and manage all accounting duties for a portfolio of clients, under the supervision of the Team Manager. These include book-keeping, preparation of financial statements, payroll, VAT and tax compliance. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining the general ledger, including:
- Posting of accounting documentation (such as invoices) to the nominal ledgers
- Preparing reconciliations of bank and other ledger balances
- Preparing calculations, prepayments, and accruals
- Compiling management accounts
- Filing of accounting documentation
- Preparation of financial returns and CBM returns
- Preparation of the annual financial statements
- Assisting with auditors’ queries
- Preparation of VAT returns, tax returns and tax refund claim forms
- Preparation of monthly payroll and reconciliations
- Transaction monitoring
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Applicants must be at least ACCA part qualified or hold an equivalent qualification
- Experience in an accounting role
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in client accounting would be considered an asset
- Able to work accurately to tight deadlines, with a sharp eye for detail
- Takes initiative and can work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent administrative and business support skills
- Able to multi-task and work calmly under pressure
- Proficient verbal and written communication in English
