A successful hospitality group that specialise in building and managing beautiful hotels are working with GRS to recruit an Assistant Accountant in Larnaca. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-year experience in an accounting role and be educated in accounting either to degree level or LCCI higher. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and maintain the bookkeeping and accounting records and ensure they are up to date

Managing day-to-day transactions
-
Prepare monthly suppliers/vendors reconciliations and bank reconciliations
-
Prepare bank payments and deposits.

Ensure that all pending credit invoices are paid in a timely manner
-
Assist in invoicing and cash collection
-
Deal with financial paperwork and filing
-
Knowledge of how to Perform VAT entries
-
Assisting in Payroll tasks
-
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all accounting deadlines
-
Execution of any other task related to the duties of the position
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
BSc in Accounting or related field
-
Greek native speaker with fluency in English
-
Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar position

Knowledge of Accounting Principles and procedures
-
Computer literate (Microsoft Office Packages) with excellent proficiency in Excel
-
Knowledge in using accounting software and databases will be considered an advantag

Able to demonstrate initiative and reliability

Team player with interpersonal skills

Time management and organisation skills
