The ideal candidate will be responsible to record, report and manage the company’s finances by providing administrative support and improving the overall accounting process of the company. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reconciles invoices received with departmental billings.
  • Issues invoices to customers based on services rendered and/or goods sold.
  • Prepares and tracks payments.
  • Reviews employee expenses and make reimbursements.
  • Tracks expenses as they relate to specific projects and jobs.
  • Validates invoices against items or services received.
  • Checks all financial transactions for accuracy.
  • Enters key data into the company’s accounting system.
  • Prepares monthly reporting.
  • Assistance with the month-end and year-end closes.
  • Maintains good knowledge of the company’s products and services.
  • Maintains good communication and cooperates well with other departments.
  • Good knowledge of the company’s electronic systems and databases.
  • Maintains good knowledge of industry regulations and trends.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University graduate in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Experience in the shipping industry will be considered as an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English Language.
  • Good communication skills (written and oral).
  • Computer literacy.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and particularly Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Logical thinker and the ability to work as part of a team and alone.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to juggle a range of different tasks and to work extra hours to meet deadlines.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Honesty and reliability.
  • Able to multitask.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions.
  • Analytical skills.
