A leading Financial Services company is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team in Malta. This is a full-time position and covers an array of Accounting duties so would be perfect for someone with a degree in Accounting or has started the ACCA. The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in a similar role and ideally have used Sun Systems. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Post both technical and non-technical transactions in the accounting system

Undertake bank payments and reconciliations

Assist in the preparation of periodical management accounts

Provide assistance in the preparation of financial statements and in annual statutory audits

Assist in the preparation of Tax and VAT return before submission
-
Give assistance in the preparation of regulatory returns to the regulatory authorities
-
Help with other general accounting duties as may be required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Possess a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting and/or studying for ACCA

2-year experience in a similar role

Proficient in the use of information technology, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Experience with Sun Systems will be considered a strong asset.

Knowledge of insurance will be considered an asset.
