DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assisting with daily accounting duties, including data entry, invoice processing, and updating financial records.
  • Performing daily cash count procedure and collection reports.
  • Working on the ‘Confidential company project, maintaining up to date records of client documentation.
  • Liaising with the bank for the provision of statements and assisting in periodic reconciliations.
  • Issuing and sending statements out to clients for overdue payments.
  • Handling of client queries in a timely manner to ensure collection of payments within the agreed credit terms.
  • Assisting the credit control function of the company by chasing overdue balances by email or other means as deemed appropriate and maintaining records of all chasing activities.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports as required by management.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
  • Any other related tasks within the department as deemed necessary by management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Prior experience working in an office environment.
  • Ability to work independently and be an excellent team player is key.
  • High-Level of ownership, accountability, and responsibility.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and great work ethic.
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Shireburn would be considered as an asset.
  • Maltese and English Speaking
