GRS are working with a highly esteemed Financial Service Provider who are searching for an Accounts Clerk, who will be responsible for carrying out clerical and administrative duties in relation to the accounting and book-keeping processes. The selected candidate will also provide, assistance to the Accounts department in the execution of operational and administrative support to the organisation.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review of all supplier invoices for appropriate documentation and approval
  • Issue payment runs and perform supplier reconciliations
  • Process credit card expense reports and perform reconciliations
  • Regular bank and cash reconciliations, cash flow maintenance and analysis, ensuring that any irregularities are reported immediately
  • Recording of transactions in the accounting system and maintaining accounting records
  • Working and issuing of revenue invoices including liaising with related undertakings as required
  • Maintaining and updating the assets inventory whilst ensuring that appropriate asset management procedures are adhered to
  • Prepare routine letters and other correspondence as instructed
  • Assistance and participation in monthly reporting and collating of data for reporting requirements
  • Assistance in the compilation and monitoring of budgets
  • Assistance in procurement, travel processes and organise meetings and appointments as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by the Financial Controller
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Advanced level in accounting plus 2 years’ experience in a similar post
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Organisational capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to participate as a member of the team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on own initiative
  • Proficient in the use of information technology, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
