GRS Recruitment are working with a well-reputable marine management company and are seeking to recruit an Accounts Officer in Limassol. The successful candidate will need to acquire a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience. If you have the necessary skills and experience, then an attractive remuneration package will be offered for this Limassol based Accounts Officer role.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, of several entities.
  • Assist the Income Tax and VAT reporting/ compliance process.
  • Liaise with External auditors for any explanations/support required.
  • Support the annual consolidation process. Support the standalone financial statements preparation for various companies by providing analyses for disclosures.
  • Assisting in strengthening of internal controls and procedures but also efficiency within the department.
  • Assist in the preparation of various Management reports (financial, cash flows, budgets).
  • Supervision, training and reviewing the daily work of accounting personnel.
  • Should have dynamic knowledge of excel and be able to collate data and prepare reports/ exhibits/ charts for further analysis and reporting.
  • Become a power user of the IT systems of the department in order to extract information for ad hoc report preparation, but also other routine reporting.
  • Stay up to date with all current IFRS and Tax developments.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • BSc Accounting/ Finance
  • Being an ACA/ACCA/CPA
  • Familiar with Cyprus Taxation
  • Master’s degree in business or finance will be considered as an advantage
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience with a Big-4 Audit firm will be considered as an advantage.
  • Additional experience in any of the following areas will be considered as an advantage: Multinational Corporation, Investment Banking institution/ Family office, Shipping Industry
  • Experience in Financial Reporting and IFRS Consolidations
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and managing people
  • Able to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and produce tidy, structured and accurate work
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS required
  • Experience with ERP, Business Intelligence and Consolidation systems will be considered as an advantage.
