An international and long-standing Accounting and Audit Firm with offices in Nicosia is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire an Actuarial Analyst for their Nicosia based team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to embark on a rewarding career in the field of actuarial science, utilizing their mathematical and analytical skills to assess and manage risks for various organizations. You will acquire a hands-on experience and knowledge through working closely with experienced actuaries to analyze data, develop models, and provide insights to support business decision-making. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in conducting regular audits and reviews
  • Assist in designing and implementing actuarial models and algorithms to aid in capital risk management and actuarial valuations
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to create accurate and reliable actuarial reports
  • Participate in actuarial research and development activities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of actuarial tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of actuarial projects and initiatives within agreed timelines and budgets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and validate data
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing actuarial findings
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and compliance requirements
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical and professional skills
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s, master’s degree or equivalent in any of the following disciplines: Actuarial Science, Mathematics and/or Statistics
  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience in the Life and Non-Life actuarial field.
  • Willingness to pursue actuarial credentials, such as the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) or the Society of Actuaries (SOA)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, or SAS is considered a plus
  • Proficiency in using actuarial software practices is considered a plus
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of insurance industry, including relevant regulations and practices is considered a plus
  • Flexibility to frequently travel abroad
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Enthusiasm for learning and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
