An international and long-standing Accounting and Audit Firm with offices in Nicosia is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire an Actuarial Senior Manager for their Nicosia based team. In this position you will be responsible for leading a team of actuarial students and overseeing the development and implementation of actuarial models and methodologies as well as providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members. If you have a strong understanding of actuarial principles and methodologies, along with a proven track records of success in managing actuarial projects and team, GRS looks forward to receiving your CV for this Nicosia based Senior Actuarial role.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage a team of actuaries, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Lead the team in the development and implementation of actuarial models and methodologies ensuring the timely delivery of projects and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain actuarial documentation, including model documentation and assumptions
  • Review and analyze actuarial data to identify trends and patterns, and patterns
  • Communicate actuarial findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Stay current on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging actuarial practices, and use this knowledge to inform and improve actuarial processes within the company.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Advanced knowledge of actuarial principles, including risk analysis and reserving techniques
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS17 and SII is desirable
  • Knowledge of Prophet actuarial software will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing and developing a team of actuaries
  • Flexibility and willingness to frequently travel abroad
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex actuarial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
