On behalf of our client, a leading legal professional services organisation, GRS are recruiting an AML and Compliance Assistant in Malta to will assist the shipping department within the firm. The selected candidate will be driven, ambitious and enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced environment. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conducting KYC and AML checks on new clients at onboarding stage
  • Completing the customer profile on the KYCP Portal in liaison with the relationship lawyer
  • Completing the relevant job forms as instructed by the lawyers / advisors
  • Obtaining the relevant letters of engagement from customers
  • Collating the relevant CDD in accordance with the CDD manual
  • Conducting screenings on customers (body corporate & individuals) and intermediaries
  • Applying the necessary escalations when required and reporting to the Compliance Officer
  • Verifying and Identification the CDD documents
  • Obtaining the relevant customer onboarding forms
  • Uploading the relevant CDD to the KYCP Portal
  • Keeping close communication with the Compliance team
  • Following up on any AML measures suggested by Compliance team
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role, experience in the Financial Services industry will be preferred
  • Familiarity with AML/compliance principles
  • Be detailed oriented, analytical and well organised
  • A positive, energetic can-do attitude coupled with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage with various professionals, both internally and externally within the firm
