A leading Accounting & Corporate Service Provider is looking for an Assistant Manager with a good accounting background to manage a growing portfolio of international clients to join their team in Malta. You will report to the Senior Manager of Corporate Services and be responsible for assisting in the formation and maintaining both Maltese entities, arranging for legal, accounting and tax advice. The ideal person will have at least 2 years’ client accounting experience and at least 1 years’ experience in a similar role. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide services to clients. Under the supervision and with guidance from your colleagues, this would include all aspects of client accounting, assisting with tax, VAT and compliance, company secretarial and general client management
  • Assist with bank opening procedures in particular coordinating the collection of due diligence documentation and assisting with KYC exercises
  • Assist with company formation and administration both in Malta and also where necessary in other countries (mainly through our partners in those countries)
  • Assist with invoicing and drafting of fee estimates, quotes, proposals to potential and existing clients
  • Follow up on leads
  • General duties as may be required, bearing in mind we are a small office, at least in the short term
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • 2 years experience in accounting, preferably within an accounting or audit firm.
  • Ideally you would also have worked in a similar position working with Maltese accounting and corporate services.
  • Experience in working in areas such as international corporate taxation or European VAT would be considered an asset.
  • You also have a good knowledge of general office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook as well as experience using at least one accounting program.
  • Knowledge of Xero or QuickBooks accounting software would be favourably considered.
