An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified Accountant to join a global Accounting & Advisory firm in Malta. You will join as Assistant Manager Client Accounting and report to the Director where you will play an important role in the team by leading a team of Associates responsible for a portfolio of local and international clients. The perfect candidate will be ACCA qualified and have 2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar environment. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  •  Managing a diverse client portfolio resulting in high quality service delivery and within agreed timeframes as agreed with our clients
  •  Oversee the work relating to bookkeeping, reconciliations, preparation of periodic management accounts, VAT returns, tax returns and other related ad hoc work required as prepared by the team members
  •  Providing guidance and feedback to respective team members
  •  Participate in the planning and coordinating of team resources to ensure optimum allocation and utilisation of resources
  •  Optimise all opportunities for efficiency gains resulting from the streamlining of business processes across client files supported by the utilisation of automation and other process improvements tools
  • Timely preparation of all relevant billing matters and ensuring that all assignments are delivered within appropriate budget
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working within a similar outsourcing environment
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, M. Accty. (Melit.) or equivalent)
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Proven experience with recognised accounting packages and Microsoft Excel
  • Any experience of managing a team would be considered an asset
  • Ability to work on own initiative whilst also guiding other team members
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • Positive and having a problem-solving approach
