Our esteemed client, a reputable engineering company based in Malta, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to join their team. The Assistant Project Manager will be assisting the Project & QHSE Manager to follow through business opportunities, maintaining healthy business relationships, and following Company policies and procedures. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
- Responsible for assisting in planning and organizing specific projects
- May need to travel from time to time to either be in a better position to quote and/or to make sure that Company employees have everything prior to start of project
- Evaluate project performance and ensure stakeholder satisfaction
- Prepare and update project documentation and records
- Co-ordinate with HR, Finance and Operations as necessary for the successful completion of projects.
- Draft, maintain and update the QMS documentation in line with ISO 9001 Requirements for the Projects Department, and as deemed necessary within other departments;
- Ensure all Project related QMS documentation and records are accurately maintained and readily accessible
- Support the project & QHSE manager in preparing for external / internal audits, implementation of corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring overall compliance of the QMS.
- Liaise with Company’s Head of Departments to ensure the completion of all documentation required for the ISO certification
- Carry out all other duties as and when requested by Management
- Assist the Project & QHSE Manager in ensuring compliance with the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Ensure that all project activities are carried out in line with health and safety regulations and risk assessments
- Participate in Health and Safety audits and inspections as required
- Assist in identifying potential hazards, implementing corrective actions, and promoting a safe working environment for all employees
- Ensure that all Health and Safety documentation is maintained and up-to-date for projects, audits, and compliance purposes
- Contribute to safety briefings, meetings, and incident investigations as required
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Proven experience in project management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Background in engineering or related technical fields is advantageous.
