A well standing advisory firm is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire an experienced and driven Audit & Tax Manager for their Nicosia based operations.
As the Audit & Tax Manager, you will oversee the department's operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and effective team leadership. You’ll play a key role in streamlining procedures, liaising with external partners, and guiding a growing team of professionals.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluate existing accounting and tax procedures, proposing improvements where necessary.

Review and/or prepare financial statements, ensuring precision and completeness.

Carry out ad hoc financial analysis and respond to specific management requests.

Monitor and manage client deliverables and deadlines in line with the company’s annual financial calendar.

Lead and mentor the accounting team, supporting their professional development through goal setting, feedback, and ongoing training.

Collaborate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial closure and reporting at year-end.

Maintain proper and organized filing of all relevant documentation.

Allocate, monitor, and review the work assigned to staff.

Foster strong relationships with clients through professional and constructive communication.

Coordinate with internal departments, tax authorities, external auditors, and governmental bodies when required.

Prepare annual department budgets in line with internal deadlines.

Update the tax card annually according to specified timeframes.

Compile a monthly report detailing new and lost clients, as per reporting schedules.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA qualification is required.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting and tax management roles.

Solid knowledge of IFRS standards.

Proven experience in tax compliance, including preparing and submitting tax returns and handling tax audits.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Office, and general accounting software.

Experience with Cycom and Caseware software is a plus.

Fluent in both English and Greek.
