A medium sized Corporate & Advisory firm, with a young and dynamic team is looking for an Audit Manager to join their team in Malta. You will manage a small team, be responsible for a portfolio of clients, and report to the partner in charge. The ideal candidate will be ACCA qualified, have at least 4 years’ experience in Audit and be fluent in English (Italian advantageous). MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage a team of 4 to 6 people
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies
  • Interact with the firm’s directors, staff and clients
  • Supervise staff on a daily basis
  • Work with the senior auditors and other staff to plan the audits of a number of Maltese companies
  • Reviewing of financial statements, assessing accounts for accuracy and completion and report on findings
  • Drafting of audited financial statements
  • Attending and participating in meetings with the clients
  • Completing the audit report
  • Planning work to ensure deadlines are met
  • Liaising with other departments within the firm
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • ACCA qualified
  • At least 4 years’ experience in Audit
  • Fluent in English (Italian advantageous) 
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to motivate staff
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Handling confidential information
  • Performing work under pressure
  • Solid understanding of GAPSME and IFRS
  • Strong prioritization and organization skills
COMPANY BENEFITS
  • Salary €40,000 to €45,000 (depending on experience)
  • Performance related bonuses, the amounts of which will depend on the employee’s performance, at regular intervals which will not exceed 6 months.
  • 20% referral fees on all professional fees charged to clients which would have been referred to the firm by the employee.
  • Six days of study leave for every exam related to the employee’s professional work in terms of the firm’s staff manual.
  • In house training as well as the possibility to attend other seminars / webinars provided by external third parties during office hours.
  • Payment of annual subscription fees to local organisations related to the employee’s professional work.
