On behalf of our client, a successful audit firm based in Nicosia, GRS are seeking for an Auditor to join their growing team.  The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and completing or have completed their ACCA/ICAEW/AIA.  If you are interested in taking the next step in your career and joining a professional company which provides training and development, then this is the job for you!  We look forward to receiving your CV for this Nicosia based Auditor role. 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Liaise with clients to obtain information needed for the audit and for the Company’s AML procedures.
  • Perform simplified and Enhanced Due Diligence for AML purposes.
  • Perform the transaction monitoring in accordance with the Firm’s AML policies and procedures.
  • Contribute in the planning of the audit work.
  • Check and prepare audit documentation.
  • Perform audit workings and tests to verify the validity, accuracy and completeness of the clients’ accounting information.
  • Carry out audit tests in accordance with the audit plan.
  • Conduct field work of internal control testing.
  • Identify possible risks or errors in systems and controls.
  • Assist in advanced assurance engagements such as management reports, due diligence, financial information analysis and other.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Provide assistance in the preparation of all documents required for the audit: engagement letters, bank letters, company documentation and other confirmation letters as audit evidence.
  • Assist in the consultation of Junior Auditors.
  • Assist in the supervision of Junior Auditors.
  • Report to Senior Auditors / Audit Managers.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Very good knowledge of Caseware Working Papers.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly (Caseware Working Papers and WiseBos – AML & Time Sheets).
  • Very good knowledge of ISAs and IFRSs.
  • Very good knowledge of AML legislation.
  • Very good knowledge of ISQC1 and the Firm’s Quality Control Manual.
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Pleasant personality with a “can do” attitude.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in meeting deadlines.
  • Highly motivated individual.
  • High School Diploma and/or University degree.
  • Close to completing ACCA/ICAEW/AIA papers (Last module) or recently qualified.
  • Two years of related working experience.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Very good user of Greek and English language.
  • Office position.
  • Occasional inland travel to clients’ premises.
