A long-standing group of companies operating among others in the FX, Financial Services, and Accounting industries, are working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a Back-End Developer to join their Larnaca based team on a hybrid model. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work very closely with a team of developers, as well as a team of designers to develop and maintain systems and applications for brokerages. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work very closely with a team of developers, as well as a team of designers to develop and maintain systems and applications for brokerages.

Use extensively Go and MySQL.

Act as a key contributor to the code and there will be a lot of responsibility for maintaining and scaling the systems.

Keen and able to learn new technologies.
-
Perform code reviews and have your code reviewed by your peers.
-
Deliver software using Agile methodologies.

Take part in architectural decision making.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Good understanding of algorithms and data structures
-
Flexibility, lateral thinking and problem-solving skills
-
MySQL and general RDBS knowledge
-
RESTful API design and implementation experience
-
Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network protocols

Experience with version control systems like git
-
Fluency in English, both written and verbal

Knowing Go beforehand will be a huge plus, but it's not necessary as long as you have a strong understanding of server-side programming.

Experience with Go (Golang) will be considered an advantage.

Experience with C++ will be considered an advantage.

Experience with multithreading and asynchronous processing will be considered an advantage.

Experience with Meta Trader 4/5 platform will be considered an advantage.

Experience with JavaScript will be considered an advantage.

Curiosity to learn new programming languages will be considered an advantage.
