A long-established family office, based in Cyprus, is seeking a meticulous and reliable Bookkeeper to support the accounting and administrative functions of a number of group companies. With a solid reputation built over many years of integrity, professionalism, and discretion, our client’s office offers a stable and respectful working environment where accuracy, organisation, and initiative are highly valued. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process accounting records in the accounting software for multiple companies, ensuring all entries are accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of supplier accounts and bank statements; monitor bank payments and loan schedules.
  • Schedule, monitor, and execute supplier and company expense payments in a timely manner.
  • Manage the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances from company debtors.
  • Undertake a variety of administrative and business-related tasks, as well as ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Head of Department.
  • Support the Chairman’s calendar management, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and handling calls, emails, and other correspondence as needed.
  • Carry out external office tasks, such as visits to banks, public services, and other institutions.
  • Oversee the smooth operation of office facilities, including monitoring supplies and ensuring the proper functioning of office equipment.
  • Coordinate and monitor both corporate and personal expenses of the owner, including reviewing supplier invoices, contracts, and reconciling credit cards and bank accounts.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a bookkeeping role.
  • Holder of an LCCI, Accounting Diploma, or other relevant qualification in Accounting or Office Administration.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Fluency in Greek and English both oral and written.
  • Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
