An Alternative Investments Fund Manager based in Limassol, Cyprus, with focus on the Shipping Sector is working in partnership with GRS to recruit a Brand Coordinator. The successful candidate will have previous marketing experience with a strong knowledge of the shipping sector. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Fleet Network: Constant dialogue with an appointed crew member on each vessel and agent one each regular point of call for picture and video footage of the vessels mooring, un/loading cargo, at berth, and while at sea.
  • Team Interviews: Interviews with Team Members for insight into the personal backgrounds and the Fund’s strategy and operations.
  • Fund Facts & Figures: Periodic visuals showing a snapshot of the Fund’s performance, expansion, fleet, financing, and strategy.
  • Blogs & Vlogs about Fund and Industry: Regular postings about the Companies view on internal and external matters, shedding the spotlight on the Fund’s opinion on trending topics like ESG, retrofits, and others. This includes regular posting on general market trends and events to maintain engagement with the Fund and provide non-shipping followers an insight into the industry. An example might be developing a monthly posting where a member of the management team answers bullet questions about a certain topic in 30 seconds, etc.
  • Sponsorship Deployment: Strategically deploy the Fund’s annual sponsorship budget on in-person conferences and forums, alumni networking events, and entertainment / sports events with appropriate geographical target audience.
  • Website Maintenance: Regular updates of the Fund’s websites in line with fleet and team changes, news features, and blog postings.
  • Social Media Management: Running of the Fund’s social media accounts to enhance presence and engagement on the two focal platforms, LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • IT Decks and Gadgets: Design and development of slide decks, letterhead templates, and office gadgets in line with the Fund’s branding.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • A graduate with a Marketing, Strategy, or Business-related degree with relevant skills and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of the shipping industry is necessary. Knowledge of the offshore sector is desired but not necessary.
  • Experience in Brand Development and a demonstrable good level of understanding of marketing strategies.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate marketing campaigns.
  • A drive and self-motivation towards a flexible approach to work; capable to lead your own ideas.
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear path from idea development to forecasted metrics of success.
  • Eagerness to proactively learn, prioritize, and work well independently with periodic guidance from management.
  • A confident creative individual with their own ideas to excel in a results-driven business.
  • Strong communication skills to develop and maintain a strong network of colleagues and industry contacts.
  • Proactivity to establish a strong line of contact with top tier news outlets to highlight the brand effectively.
