GRS Recruitment is excited to announce an opening for a Chemical Engineer with a reputable Oil & Gas company located in Larnaca. Our client is a firm specializing in the Energy sector and this position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to make a significant impact in a growing organization. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Short/Medium/Long term plans preparation (monthly, quarterly, yearly)
  • Following up plan execution and supporting ad hoc decisions related to Refinery operation with economics for all available option
  • Economic evaluation and economic support for import/export deals for fossil fuels, semi-finished products and Bio-fuels
  • Optimizing refined products blending with special focus on fuel oil and gasoline blending
  • Performing weekly economics checks and follow ups of external market prices and optimal refinery operation
  • Take part in Projects evaluations: technical and business case review with detailed projects economics evaluation as outcome  
  • Performing economic evaluation of crude oil(s)
  • Performing LP Refinery model changes
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in optimization tools usage (PIMS software), experience in additional optimization software can be an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in oil industry, with detailed knowledge of oil industry practices and specifics (price changes, crude oil vs. product prices, etc.)
  • Engineering educational background (Chemical or Mechanical) or education in applied mathematics with focus on optimization  
  • Willingness and capability to analyze and solve complex technical problems
  • Ability to clearly communicate and summarize outcomes of performed analysis to higher management and relevant stakeholders
  • To be able to work in team/s and to cooperate with stakeholders from various departments 
  • Ability to challenge “status quo” and to drive changes with goal of continuous improvement   
  • Advanced English is a must, fluency in German language can be an advantage
