A well-standing company operating in the construction industry is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire the Chief Accountant for their Limassol based team.
The Chief Accountant will be responsible for all personnel in the finance department and for all accounting-related matters. He/she will also be responsible for supervising the department’s account assistants/administrators and their training, as well as for all accounting entries.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervision and oversight of accounting staff, ensuring the timely and proper execution of daily accounting activities for all companies, in order to ensure adherence to procedures and the validity of all records
  • Monthly preparation of the trial balance and participation in the preparation of the company’s financial statements and other reports.
  • Preparation and processing of payroll, related payments, and reports
  • Management of ERGANI
  • Providing support to the accounting, warehouse, and administrative staff of all departments across the companies.
  • Submission and Preparation of VAT reports and payments
  • Preparation of payroll , bonus etc
  • Supervision and execution of all taxation matters (corporate taxes, employee taxes, IR7, IR63)
  • Supervision and coordination of audit-related matters
  • Preparation of financial reports
  • Supervision of corporate and preparation of directors’ personal tax returns
  • Other related duties
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • 5+ years of experience in finance
  • Preferably Professional qualification ACA / ACCA / CPA
  • Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or in a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and financial reporting framework
  • Proven experience in ERP systems preferably Sap business one,
  • Proven Experience in Payroll Software
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective management skills and ability to provide direction to his/her team
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages, both written and verbal
  • Excellent computer literacy with advanced Microsoft Office skills (including exposure with computerized accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel)

  • Working Hours: Monday-Friday 08:30-13:00 & 13:30-17:00
