An established airline with headquarters in Cyprus is currently looking for a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join the team in their Larnaca-based offices.   The successful candidate will have significant experience leading the commercial function in an international airline.  If you want to join a growing and international company, then we look forward to receiving your CV for this Larnaca based Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) role.  
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee all revenue-related functions for the airline, except for revenue management, network planning and development, and hold ultimate responsibility for the revenue performance of the company.
  • As part of the airline's top leadership team, contribute to the development of the overall corporate strategy and business plan for the organisation. Participate actively in the overall leadership and management of the airline.
  • Partnering with the CEO and top leadership team, shape the growth strategy.
  • Ensure that the airline has an integrated, ambitious and practically implementable commercial strategy that is consistent with the overall corporate strategy in place at the carrier.
  • Lead the digital transformation of the department to ensure it becomes a fundamental pillar of the airline's revenue strategy.
  • Drive strategic & tactical partnerships, with airlines and non-airline alike, to strengthen the network and consumer reach.
  • Lead and drive the airline's brand development program.
  • Grow and diversify the commercial division to widen market reach including, but not limited to, the creation of a new ‘holidays’ division.
  • Performance-driven mindset with the ability to present plans & results on continuous basis with a robust quantitative approach.
  • Ensure that the airline makes optimal use of social media to advance its commercial strategy and initiatives.
  • Carry out other duties or special projects as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Significant experience leading the commercial function in an international airline or a significant subset thereof or within a low-cost airline. Overall, the primary requirement in this role is for an airline commercial generalist -an individual who brings breadth in the "commercial" arena.
  • Experience in shifting airline product distribution from the traditional to the new and more efficient channels such as direct Internet and indirect online channels.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of sales enhancement programs using modern sales tools and tracking systems.
  • Strong digital transformation experience (planning & implementation), with proven results.
  • Creative and innovative, with the capability to drive the creation of new ideas and/or the stimulation of others, internally or externally.
  • Significant experience leading the marketing function in a successful airline organisation focused on delivering branded services or products to consumers. A high degree of familiarity and exposure to all elements of the marketing mix. Has demonstrated success in working with other functional groups within an airline to develop and execute a cohesive product or service to consumers.
  • Information systems-literate and oriented with a strong affinity for optimising systems in day-to-day use.
  • Experience serving in roles that have required him/her to represent the organisation at senior levels and with a variety of external constituent groups.
  • An undergraduate degree in aviation management, business, or economics and ideally, an M.B.A.
