A Payments company which is in the final stages of obtaining their licence in Malta is looking for a Chief Executive Officer to lead their project in Malta. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company and its team members. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record within the Payments sector within a senior management role. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the filing of all legal and regulatory documents and monitor compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Assist the Board determine values, mission, vision, and short- and long-term goals and monitor and evaluate the Company’s relevancy to the community, its effectiveness, and its results.
  • Keeps the Board fully informed on the condition of all the important factors influencing it.
  • Identify problems and opportunities and addresses them; brings those which are appropriate to the Board and/or its committees; and, facilitates discussion and deliberation.
  • Inform the Board and its committees about trends, issues, problems and activities in order to facilitate policy-making. Recommends policy positions.
  • Provide general oversight of all Company activities, manage the day-to-day operations, and ensure a smoothly functioning, efficient organization.
  • Help the Board articulate its own role and accountabilities and that of its committees and individual members, and helps evaluate performance regularly
  • Promote programs and services that are produced in a cost-effective manner, employing economy while maintaining an acceptable level of quality.
  • Oversee the fiscal activities of the organization including budgeting, reporting and audit.
  • Work with Board to ensure financing to support short- and long-term goals.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required with a minimum of 3 years experience in a senior management position from within the Payments sector
  • Ideally experience assisting a start-up
  • Knowledge of and experience in management and administration. The position requires demonstrated experience in integrating and coordinating diverse areas of management.
  • Possess the skills and implements the functions of a leader. Shares the Company’s values, mission and vision.
  • Consistently displays integrity, models behaviour, develops people, and builds teams.
  • Able to manage continuity, change and transition.
