Our Client is a start-up company within the Fintech sector. For their newly established offices in Limassol, GRS are currently seeking to recruit a Chief Financial Officer who will be responsible for driving the financial vision of the company, risk management and reporting to stakeholders from the financial perspective. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive the company’s financial planning and support strategic decisions
  • Advise Board of Directors on the financial implications of business activities and capital structure
  • Manage and regularly report cash flow to the Board
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions
  • Take full ownership of the Financial department and its future development
  • Help to set up long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts from a finance perspective
  • Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
  • Put in place a robust system of financial controls
  • Prepare and communicate the required financial reports to the regulator and tax authorities in Cyprus and abroad
  • Manage relationships with internal or external finance/audit professionals and accounting partners
  • Establish and develop relationships with crucial banking partners
  • Manage the liquidity pools in various financial institutions
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University graduate in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field
  • CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA fully qualified
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role ideally in a start-up environment
  • Excellent knowledge of English both speaking and writing
  • Knowledge of EU/ECB financial regulations and frameworks and financial law and risk management practices in Fintech
  • Proficient in the use of Excel and financial management software
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Open-minded and tech savvy, with hands-on attitude
