A high-performance B2B platform is seeking a visionary CTO to lead the technical architecture and team in Malta. The quest is to solve a massive interoperability problem in a high-volume industry by building a next-generation abstraction layer. The ideal candidate will lead the engineering of a platform designed to unify fragmented ecosystems. The role requires a unique blend of "hard" backend engineering (reliability, throughput, architecture) and cutting-edge AI implementation (using LLMs to automate technical workflows).
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Architecture: Define and own the roadmap for a scalable, API-first middleware platform. Experience with Domain-Driven Design and Hexagonal/Clean Architecture is essential.
  • AI Implementation: Move beyond buzzwords to implement practical AI/LLM agents that significantly reduce development overhead and automate data mapping processes.
  • Leadership: Build and lead a remote-first engineering team, bridging the gap between innovative AI research and production-grade software stability.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • API Mastery: Deep experience with complex API aggregations, gateways, and standardization.
  • Industry Background: Experience in high-transaction sectors (iGaming, Fintech, or AdTech) is strictly required.
  • Tech Stack: Proven track record in backend engineering and server infrastructure.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to balance MVP delivery with a long-term roadmap toward autonomous system operations.
