A global media company supporting a charitable cause are working with GRS to recruit a Chief Technology Officer for their newly established Cyprus offices. The successful candidate will have previously worked in a senior role with solid web-based software development and project management skills. You will oversee all technical aspects and technological resources of the organisation for the purpose of organisational growth. You will establish a technological vision for the organisation and lead the company's technological development. This an exciting opportunity to join a campaign driving change on a global scale. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the technical build by third parties of the company’s web-based systems running a global media campaign – user experience, DAM, CRM, Data, Loyalty Points and Redemption, Shop, Donate, UGC.  
  • Ensure the tech system provides the services, data, accounting require for the execution of the whole campaign. Work with other team members to identify their needs.
  • Integrate the system with outsource service providers, corporate partners and ensure the system is user friendly for the consumer.     
  • Foster a collaborative, positive culture within a small technical team.
  • Lead decisions on application architecture and infrastructure design that is realistic, affordable, achievable, and able to support scalability, robustness, and successful product delivery.
  • Maximise the returns and benefits of investments in technology and tools.
  • Communicate the company’s technology strategy to management and stakeholders.
  • Identify technical hurdles, solve problems, and manage risks appropriately.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies and software development best practices and apply as appropriate.
  • Provide technical thought leadership and insight that inspires and motivates the broader team.
  • Make decisions on technology selection.
  • Develop solutions able to be rolled out in rapid phases, where each phase builds on the success of the previous phase in an adaptable and logical manner, focused on driving revenues, participation, and donations.
  • Oversee the ongoing technical management of the web-based-systems.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Advanced degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a senior role with solid software development and project management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge web-based systems ideally including e-commerce, CRM, DAM and ideally be experienced with Sitecore.  
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced in technological analysis, website development, research, and computational skill.
