GRS Recruitment is delighted to partner with a reputable construction company seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join their team in Larnaca. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, execution, and quality control of all construction activities related to the company's developments. The role will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards. The Civil Engineer will act as the primary link between the developer, architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout the development process. The Civil Engineer will also be expected to: Lead the technical coordination of all Residence developments. Participate in product design reviews to ensure functionality, efficiency, and cost optimisation. Review apartment layouts, verandas, parking, storage, and common areas from both a construction and commercial perspective. Assist management in evaluating competitor specifications and construction standards. Support pricing strategy by providing construction cost input and value-engineering recommendations. Ensure that all developments are delivered in accordance with the agreed product positioning and quality standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning & Coordination

Review architectural, structural, MEP, and engineering drawings.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and consultants.

Assist in the planning and scheduling of construction activities.

Monitor project milestones and critical deadlines.

Participate in design review meetings and provide technical input.

Identify design conflicts and propose practical solutions.
Site Supervision & Construction Management

Monitor construction works and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

Conduct regular site inspections.

Verify quality of workmanship and materials.

Ensure adherence to project schedules.

Coordinate contractors and subcontractors.

Review contractor progress and performance.

Assist in the management of construction risks and issues.
Cost Control & Procurement Support

Assist in budget monitoring and cost control.

Review contractor quotations and variations.

Verify quantities and construction measurements.

Support procurement activities and contractor selection.

Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.
Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with planning permits, building regulations, and safety requirements.

Monitor quality assurance procedures.

Prepare snagging lists and oversee rectification works.

Ensure compliance with company construction standards.

Assist in obtaining completion certificates and approvals.
Reporting & Documentation

Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.

Maintain site records and project documentation.

Track project risks, delays, and corrective actions.

Prepare management updates and technical reports.

Maintain drawing registers and revision records.
Handover & Client Coordination

Participate in property inspections and handovers.

Coordinate snagging and defect rectification.

Support the preparation of handover documentation.

Liaise with purchasers when technical clarification is required.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education
-
Degree in Civil Engineering.
-
Member of ETEK (Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber).

Professional registration and licences as required.
Experience
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction and project supervision.

Experience in residential developments, apartment buildings, and mixed-use projects.
-
Experience coordinating multiple consultants and contractors.
-
Knowledge of local construction regulations and permitting procedures.
Technical Skills

AutoCAD

Microsoft Project or equivalent project management software

SALARY AND BENEFITS
