On behalf of our Client, operating in the Real Estate, Hospitality and Marine Industry, GRS are seeking to recruit a Civil Engineer to join their continuously expanding team in Larnaca. The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant experience as a Civil Engineer with solid experience in lead engineering positions. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Report civil engineering issues to the Engineering Manager and / or Project Manager
  • Reviewing deliverable from consulting team to ensure all deliverables comply with quality and quantity as per client requirements and specifications,
  • Coordination with other disciplines, client based and consultants for civil engineering inputs, schedules and related issues,
  • Attending inter discipline meetings,
  • Attending meetings with the multidisciplinary design consulting team,
  • Monitoring and meeting the project schedules on submissions of civil engineering deliverables,
  • Ensuring all deliverables comply with the current Cypriot/European laws and regulations for projects of this size and type.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelors/Master Degree or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject (Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering)
  • At least 10 years of experience in a lead engineering position or supervision on previous similar projects
  • Member of ETEK
  • Working knowledge of Eurocode (including seismic), British standards and CDM 2007 relating to structural design and construction
  • Experience of international consultants and knowledge of RIBA’s design stages
  • Previous experience in lead design role.  Be familiar with the BIM design process and be capable of leading projects designed in Revit
  • Knowledge of Local Administration procedures in Design, Pre-Construction (i.e Permits and Licenses), Construction and Post-Construction phases
  • Solid working knowledge of Engineering Software and Project Management Software such as EAPS, Tekla, REVIT, AutoCAD, BIM 360 and ProjectWise
  • Open attitude & willingness to take on other tasks such as responsibility for supervision of structural design team
  • Willing to be part of a team

  • Ability to operate with limited supervision
