A leading legal and Corporate Services firm is looking for a Client Account Officer to join their Accounting team in Malta. The main focus of the role is to contribute to the efficient running of the finance function of the corporate services provider. The ideal candidate will have 1 years’ experience in a similar role and be part-way through the ACCA or AAT. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Once adequately trained, handle client requests related to accounting and other back-office requirements

Prepare VAT returns and VAT recapitulative statements (where applicable)

Involved in board meetings

Timely preparation of management accounts, tax returns, payroll and other ad hoc reporting as per the applicable deadlines

Contribute to the furtherance of the technical knowledge of the team

Liaise with auditors and ensure reporting deadlines are met

Assist in billing of corporate clients

Assist the legal-corporate team in the onboarding of new clients and incorporations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Ideally be in the initial stages of the ACCA qualification, or similar. Candidates willing to enroll for an ACCA/ AAT qualification or similar will also be considered

Experience in a Corporate Services Provider setup and/ or exposure to client accounting/ external auditing will be considered an asset

Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word

Have a ‘can-do’ attitude, possessing the ability to finalize work with minimal supervision.

Having experience in compiling company tax returns and knowledge about tax refund claims will be considered an asset.
