On behalf of our client, an Investment Bank based in Malta, GRS Recruitment are seeking Client Relations Officer - AML / Due Diligence. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Manager of the Client Relations department. The main focus shall be on the management of existing accounts, Due Diligence on existing clients, ensuring the AML obligations are met. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with applicants to support the ongoing maintenance of bank accounts for corporate entities, private accounts and/or fund structures.
  • Manage client relationships by addressing general queries promptly and effectively, or directing them to the appropriate internal departments where necessary.
  • Foster strong client relationships to promote the efficient utilisation of the Bank’s services, including deposits, card services, foreign exchange, and online banking.
  • Carry out operational tasks related to the maintenance and ongoing review of existing accounts.
  • Conduct client research using various information sources, media, and counterparties to support due diligence and periodic reviews.
  • Assist in the drafting, review, and ongoing maintenance of internal processes and procedures.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • A degree in Banking, Financial Services, or a related field will be considered an asset.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the banking or financial services industry will be preferred.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with a professional and confident approach when dealing with clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience in reassessing client profiles and conducting periodic reviews, including client due diligence and ongoing monitoring.
  • Solid understanding of banking operations and financial services products.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
