An Alternative & Professional Investment Fund provider is looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to join their team in Malta on a reduced hours basis (20 hours per week). You will be called upon to conduct Compliance duties across various SICAVs for the company. The ideal candidate will be looking for a part-time role, be able to be PQd by the MFSA and have relevant experience in this sector. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for ensuring the Company’s adherence to the license conditions.
  • Day-to-day supervision and control over the activity of the license holder.
  • Preparation of Compliance Reports at least on a quarterly basis.
  • Monitor and assess on a regular basis the adequacy and effectiveness of the measures and procedures put in place by the Company, to comply with its obligations in accordance with the requirements of the Standard License Conditions and the actions taken to address any deficiencies.
  • Ensure any shortcoming/deficiencies identified are reported to the Board of Directors of the Company.
  • Advise and assist the relevant persons responsible for carrying out Investment Services and activities to comply with the License Holder’s legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Draft policies and procedures for the Company to ensure it complies with its regulatory
  • obligations.
  • Perform training to the Company’s employees and Board when requested.
  • Assist in any regulatory matters the Company may face from time to time.
  • Attend and participate in the Company’s quarterly Board Meetings.
  • Ensure regulatory reporting is performed in an appropriate and timely manner on behalf of the Company.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • 3 years in a similar international environment
  • A background in Law or hold relevant certification in Compliance
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively
  • Fluent in English and Maltese
