A multi-jurisdictional Corporate & Trust provider is looking for either a compliance Officer or MLRO candidate to join their team in Malta. You will report to the Managing Director, Malta and the Group Head of Compliance and be responsible for client’s operational risk management aspects and work closely with operational teams to ensure compliance with Maltese regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience within Trusts & Corporate, have a solid understanding of AML and ideally be MFSA approved. Our client is considering applications on a full or part-time basis. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as the main point of contact with the FIAU

Review and consider suspicious reports made by members of staff

Responsible for reporting to the FIAU

Liaise with other regulatory authorities

Ensure the Company maintains good governance standards

Establish, operate and maintain the relevant registers

Be involved with industry bodies on risk and regulatory compliance matters

Ensure compliance with any Court orders served within the specified timeframe

Prepare and file regulatory documents, as and when required by the FIAU and other regulatory authorities

Arrange AML/CFT Training

Participate in various projects including providing strategic guidance, research and devising policies and procedures
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Experience in trust and corporate sectors

Relevant industry qualification(s)
-
Good understanding of AML/CFT Maltese legislation
-
Prior PQ approval by MFSA would be considered an asset

Ideal candidate will have held similar roles and/or have proven track record in a similar role
