Committed to create the best and most transparent trading experience for retail and institutional clients alike, our Client offers cutting edge trading platforms, low latency connectivity and superior liquidity. For their team in Limassol, they are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Compliance Officer. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a Senior Compliance Officer role and the ability to keep up with a fast-paced environment. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, implement, and manage the company's compliance strategies and programs.
  • Stay abreast of current and upcoming regulations and legislation that affect financial services offered.
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews, risk assessments, and audits to ensure all departments adhere to legal standards and internal policies.
  • Prepare and present clear and concise compliance reports to the management.
  • Coordinate with different departments to ensure employee awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.
  • Offer expert advice on the interpretation of regulatory requirements and their implications on business practices.
  • Investigate any complex compliance issues or irregularities and develop a resolution strategy.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all external regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies.
  • Ensure that all compliance documentation, such as policies and procedures, is up-to-date and accessible to relevant staff.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior compliance staff and other employees on compliance-related matters.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in compliance working for a regulated company.
  • Familiarity with international financial regulations and standards, including MiFID II, ESMA, and other regulatory authorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication abilities and professional judgement.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Fluency in English language.
  • Demonstrated experience in offshore compliance regulation and licensing process is a plus.
  • Willingness to work closely and grow with the Compliance Team.
