GRS Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a growing property development company in Limassol, Cyprus, which is expanding its portfolio of residential and commercial construction projects. We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join the Technical Department and oversee construction activities from structural works through to completion. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered according to programme, budget, drawings, and quality standards.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Project Planning & Coordination
  • Assist with construction planning, project scheduling, and resource requirements.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules and monitor project milestones.
  • Coordinate the sequencing of different construction trades.
  •  Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects remain on schedule.
Technical & Construction Oversight
  • Review and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
  • Ensure construction works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and engineering instructions.
  • Identify technical issues and coordinate solutions with engineers and consultants.
  •  Monitor construction progress and ensure works are completed correctly at each stage.
Site Supervision
  • Supervise daily construction activities on site.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, engineers, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitor workmanship, materials, progress, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure defects are addressed promptly.
Subcontractor & Supplier Management
  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractor performance.
  • Ensure subcontractors meet agreed quality, programme, and specification requirements.
  • Assist with construction material procurement and supplier coordination.
  • Support supplier and subcontractor negotiations where required.
Quality, Cost & Risk Control
  • Ensure construction works comply with project specifications and Cyprus construction regulations.
  • Identify potential delays, risks, and technical issues and implement practical solutions.
  • Monitor material usage and support cost control throughout the project.
  • Identify opportunities to improve construction efficiency and reduce costs.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, material records, and site instructions.
  • Provide regular updates to the Project Manager regarding construction progress and issues.
  • Ensure project documentation is maintained throughout the construction process.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in building construction, site engineering, or site supervision.
  • Proven experience working on construction projects in Cyprus.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple construction trades.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, procurement, and supplier management.
  • Good knowledge of Cyprus construction regulations and industry practices.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in construction planning or project management software.
  • Fluent in Greek and English.
  • Full driving licence is an advantage.
