GRS Recruitment is seeking a Crew Operations Assistant on behalf of a well-established international maritime organisation based in Limassol. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organised professional to join a dynamic crewing team and develop their career within the shipping industry.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day crew operations activities, ensuring smooth coordination of crew changes, documentation, travel arrangements, and compliance requirements.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate crew changes, including planned and urgent arrangements.

Ensure crew certifications, qualifications, travel documents, and visas are valid and compliant with applicable requirements.

Arrange flights, accommodation, and travel logistics for joining and departing crew.

Maintain and update crew records, databases, schedules, and documentation.

Prepare employment contracts, contract terminations, and related crew administration.

Monitor document expiry dates and follow up on required renewals.

Communicate effectively with vessels, masters, port agents, manning agencies, customers, and seafarers.

Support crew recruitment activities and assist with maintaining appropriate crew rotations.

Escalate operational matters and emergencies to the relevant management team.

Provide general administrative and operational support to the Crew Superintendent.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Previous experience in crew operations, ship management, crewing, or a similar maritime role is highly desirable.

Good understanding of seafarer documentation, certification requirements, and crew procedures.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Good computer literacy and attention to detail.

Minimum 1–2 years’ relevant experience in a similar position.
