On behalf of our Client, a leading provider of online foreign exchange and CFD trading, spread betting and related services, we are currently seeking to recruit a Data Analyst for their team in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing data analysis, provide and communicate insights and offer recommendations to various departments. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with other teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities
  • Develop, validate, test and maintain analytical solutions, dashboards, statistical models and algorithms to support process improvements and critical decision making
  • Defining, evaluating, and monitoring key metrics around initiatives
  • Perform quantitative analysis, data mining and presentation of customer activity, trading, and behaviors, internal processes, and external factors
  • Design, prepare and distribute periodic analytics reports
  • Actively involved in automation of reports and analytical processes
  • Conduct research on methods, models, new data sources, and new technology and see it through to implementation
  • Develop machine learning models helping different facets of the business utilize customer trading and revenue data
  • Extract data from multiple sources, proof of concept for new, alternative data sources, maintain and build databases and processes that are utilized for data analysis and reporting
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University degree in Statistics/Computer Science/Engineering/Quantitative Finance
  • Demonstrated experience (2-3 years) in statistical analysis and solid understanding of statistical concepts such as hypothesis testing, correlation, regression, distributions
  • Deep understanding of uses and misuses of statistical inference and how to account for it
  • Proven experience using Python and R
  • Have written complex SQL queries (T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server preferred)
  • Familiarity with different machine learning techniques and predictive modelling
  • Strong attention to details and ability to deliver solutions with high degree of accuracy in timely manner
  • Demonstrated strong ownership of the QC process and error resolution within data and analysis
  • Proven experience in conducting research and implementing solutions for process improvement and revenue generating initiatives
