We are seeking to recruit a Data Engineer who will be working closely with the CTO in their new office based in Limassol. For this position our client is looking for a candidate with exceptional experience working with delivering data systems and reporting projects. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work alongside Data Scientists and Business Intelligence people to design, engineer, optimise and maintain production grade data pipelines

Developing industrialised data pipelines

Design and engineer a data model which can support growth ambitions

Work with Business Stakeholders to extract the required analysis

Work with the Team to understand how to make the best use of internal and external data sources

Create frameworks and systems to manage and govern data assets
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Experience developing industrialised data pipelines and designing data models
-
Strong knowledge of Database and Data Lake systems
-
Proven experience writing Python and SQL (Microsoft SQL)

C# or Java knowledge is a plus
-
Comfortable with distributed data frameworks like Spark

Experience with at least one cloud provider – Azure, GCP or AWS

Experience working on a greenfield project is desirable

Educated to bachelor’s degree level in computer science, information systems or related course of study or the equivalent.
