GRS Recruitment is working closely with a growing brand based in Paphos who are searching for a DevOps/ IT engineer to join the team. In this role, you will work within the IT team and collaborate closely with the development team to support the implementation and deployment of IT projects, with a specific focus on IT infrastructure projects. You will also assist in configuring, deploying, and maintaining software development tools and infrastructure. Additionally, you will support the adoption of DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT implementation, knowledge of DevOps principles, and experience in implementing IT infrastructure projects.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work within the IT team and collaborate closely with the development team to support the implementation and deployment of IT projects, with a specific focus on IT infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in configuring, deploying, and maintaining software development tools and infrastructure.
  • Support the adoption of DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to IT projects and DevOps activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the development team, to ensure smooth coordination and communication throughout the implementation process.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in IT implementation and DevOps.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of IT implementation methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of DevOps principles, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience in implementing IT infrastructure projects, such as network upgrades, server migrations, or cloud deployments.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Ansible, Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of network administration and security principles.
  • Experience with continuous monitoring and log analysis tools (e.g., ELK stack, Splunk).
