A growing pharmaceutical group of companies, specialized in the production of APIs and finished dosage forms are working with GRS Professional Recruitment Malta to recruit a Environmental Public Health Surveillance Officer (EPHS) in Malta. The selected candidate will report directly to the EPHS Manager and will primarily be responsible for the upkeep of the Health, Safety and Environmental systems of the company. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct regular Health, Safety and Environmental risk assessments.
  • Organise training of staff on Health, Safety and Environmental topics.
  • Assisting in ensuring that the sites comply with established Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and legislation through audits and regular inspections.
  • Updating, reviewing, and monitoring the Health, Safety and Environmental systems.
  • Carry out studies and research to identify possible improvement solutions to the Health, Safety and Environmental management system.
  • Assist in maintain the IPPC permit and ISO 14001 Environmental Management standard.
  • Assist in monitoring environmental activities, waste management and water treatment.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Minimum of a Degree qualification in a related area, a Masters degree will be considered as an asset.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in EPHS or in a relevant area, preferably in a pharmaceutical/chemical environment.
  • A desire to further develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced business.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • Proficient in English and ideally also in Maltese.
  • A strong attention to detail and a proven track record of creating efficient processes to best manage administrative tasks
  • Possess excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Strong values of working as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and capable of solving things in a pro-active manner and with a ‘let’s get things done’ attitude.
