MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Oversee and manage the entire Accounting & Finance function of the EU-regulated entity, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all tasks and procedures.

Lead the preparation of monthly Management Accounts, reviewing financial transactions for accuracy and consistency.

Take responsibility for the accounting system, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of both digital and physical financial records.

Manage the company's Treasury cycle, ensuring the safekeeping of both Company and Client funds.

Handle the company's taxation matters, including calculating, provisioning, and ensuring the timely payment of all applicable taxes.

Oversee the preparation of the company’s Annual Audited Financial Statements and Annual Tax Statements.

Implement and maintain effective internal controls throughout the Accounting & Finance functions.

Meet all internal and external deadlines related to financial reporting.

Provide strategic financial direction to the company, offering suggestions and cautionary advice when necessary.

Document and maintain all accounting and financial policies and procedures.

Collaborate with external auditors, internal auditors, tax advisors (both direct and indirect), bankers, lawyers, and other relevant stakeholders.

Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as requested by the CEO and Board of Directors (BOD).

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the accurate and timely submission of all regulatory reports.

Monitor the company’s financial exposures and capital adequacy ratio, proactively managing asset distribution to ensure regulatory compliance.

Stay informed of any regulatory changes that could impact the company’s financial or licensing status.

Provide documented evidence and rationale to authorities when required for financial decisions or data reporting.

Liaise with advisors on regulatory obligations, new circulars, and relevant legislation.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

University/College degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Banking, or a related field.

Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in the regulated financial services industry.

Strong understanding of EU laws and regulations for financial investment firms, particularly from a financial perspective.

Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment, meeting strict deadlines.

A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a keen eye for detail.
