GRS Recruitment are working with a growing brand who are searching for a Finance and Administration Manager to work directly with a COO of this growing training brand in their Cyprus Location. Please note in the future this role may include some travel overseas. The successful candidate will have a background of Accounting/Finance with experience in Operational Management. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Chief Executive in ensuring the achievement of the Business Plan through a clear sense of direction and purpose, effectively utilising the resources of the whole organisation to achieve these ends. 
  • Contribute to the development of the Business’ corporate and strategic framework, including performance improvement and income generation.
  • Report to the Chief Executive and Board on progress towards delivering agreed strategy, and the financial and operational performance of the business.
  • To recommend to the Chief Executive strategies relevant to the area of the Finance Department activities that will allow the Company to operate effectively both in the present and in the future and, once approved, implement these strategies successfully.
  • To control and direct the financial and management accounting systems and procedures of the Company.
  • To direct and manage the staff employed in the Finance Department in such a way that they are motivated to give their best effort to meet the needs, objectives and quality standards of the department.
  • Management of the finance department team
  • Strategic planning, financial forecasting and control
  • Developing and maintaining financial and management accounting control and information systems
  • Preparing and presenting periodic management and financial accounting reports and analyses to the Board, the Chief Executive and the Management Team
  • Management of the relationship with the Parent Company in close collaboration with the Chief Executive
  • Preparing annual forecasts of income, expenditure, cashflow and capital spend, and regularly updating such forecasts
  • Controlling and ensuring the security of all cash, petty cash and banking
  • Controlling all sales ledger and purchase ledger receipts and payments
  • Controlling and maintaining fixed assets and inventory registers and systems
  • Preparing capital investment appraisal reports and schedules
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors, ensuring that proper and effective audit programmes are agreed and implemented. Ensure compliance with Audit requirements and recommendations
  • Ensuring the proper operation, division of duties and qualified staffing of the Finance Department
  • Providing timely and effective advice and support to the Chief Executive, other Directors, Managers and other staff
  • Ensuring adequate insurance policies are in place at all times
  • Preparing month end and year end accounts reconciliations and analysis, including prepayments and accruals
  • Preparing detailed expenditure costs analysis reports for budget holders on a monthly basis
  • Maintaining all cashbooks and providing all necessary reconciliations and analysis; posting all receipts and payments to appropriate accounts/ledgers; weekly and monthly cashflow forecasting
  • Closing off purchase ledger, sales ledger and cashbook on a monthly basis, ensuring all reports are run for audit purposes
  • Raising sales invoices and credit notes for organisational courses, ensuring that all course attendance and other costs are correctly charged
  • Weekly and monthly control account reconciliation, reports and analysis
  • Analysing course income and delegate numbers
  • Authorising purchase orders, purchase ledger invoices, credit notes, bacs and cheque payments
  • Overseeing credit control
  • Maintaining integrity of all nominal accounts
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Previous experience within a similar role.
  • Educated to University Degree in Business Administration, Finance or any other related field
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent computer Skills (Word/Excel/Outlook in particular)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
